Freight stuck onboard?

Freight stuck onboard?
October 22, 2021

Global shipping is currently having a hard time, affected by so many factors right now.

The price of oil is making the charter vessel owners nervous about fuel costs. Check out the price of oil here.

Ports are struggling because empty containers are creating congestion.

Congested ports are causing vessels to be anchored off the coast, which means demurrage charges are being passed to importers.

So DCGFM bit the bullet and chartered its own fleet of vessels.

Instead of relying on other carriers, it simply contracted with vessel owners to move their client’s cargo directly from the ports of Ningbo and Shanghai and then ordered that the vessels to make haste, and sail directly to the ports of Liverpool with no stops along the route.

And to aid in relieving the problems of congestion DC Global Freight Management set up a continuous drop off faculty at CY container yards in Ningbo and Shanghai, China. If the vessel sails from Shanghai and cargo is dropped at Ningbo, DCGFM simply shuttles the cargo by road to Shanghai as part of the service.

If you’ve got freight you need to bring in from China, it would probably save you time and money by calling us first.

Check our latest sailing schedule here.
